I think this is what you're describing:

(3x + √4) / 5 + (5x - √8) /3 = 0

Step 1: Find a common denominator.
(3x + √4) / 5 * 3/3 + (5x - √8) /3 * 5/5 = 0
3(3x + √4) / 15 + 5(5x - √8) /15 = 0
(9x + 3√4 + 25x - 5√8) / 15 = 0

Step 2: Multiply both sides by 15 to get rid of the denominator:
(9x + 3√4 + 25x - 5√8) / 15 * 15 = 0 * 15
(9x + 3√4 + 25x - 5√8) = 0

Step 3: Combine like terms:
(9x + 3√4 + 25x - 5√8) = 0
(9x + 25x + 3√4 - 5√8) = 0
(36x + 3 * 2 - 5√8) = 0
(36x + 6 - 5√8) = 0
(36x - 8.142) = 0
36x = 8.142
x = .226
