I don't think ol' Tom ever HAD it to lose in the first place. He was so cute everyone ignored the fact that he was a loony. Funny how his religion (scientology) doesn't allow therapy or medication, cuz he sure seems like he needs both.

Tom Cruise used to be one of the greatest actors of the 80s/90s and then he became a scientologist and met Katie Holmes.
To be honest I think it's the Scientology that has ruined his career and not only him, have you seen a John Travolta film recently?
I thought he might have changed after getting engaged to Katie but it just got worse and now Paramount have taken him off their books and his own production company might be in financial trouble.
That woman and that religion have poisoned the mind of an otherwise brilliant performer and I don't think he can come back from it which is a shame that the world might be losing the man that brought Anne Rice's Lestat de Lioncourt to life.

Yup. I think he's having a mid life crisis. He meets a girl half his age, changes her religion (cos before hand she was a virgin due to her religious belief of no sex before marriage), shags her, knocks her up and only THEN marries her, makes the poor gal give birth with no pain relief and is unable to make a sound and then can't speak to her kid for 7 days (is anyone thinking...uh... control freak?!). But not only that but their sickly public display of their 'love' when they first got together was enough to make you bring up every morsel of food you had just eaten! He is getting nowhere in the film industry now that mission impossible is done with. The little man has gotten too big for his little midget sized shoes and he's finished! Awh!

Who cares? He is gorgeous and a little wierd but I like that! He is a fabulous actor that always delivers. His private life is his and his wife's and if the rumours are true about him 'bossing' her about it says alot about the type of woman she is to let herself be treated in that way. It's all probably a load of poopycock anyway. Tom is fab!

When he started acting, I thought he was very mediocre with limited ability but the camera loved him.
Then I think he improved & started putting in some good performances.
Of late though he has become eccentric & lost his way in my opinion.
Will he get it back? Somehow I doubt it.

Ever since the birth of his baby, he has been very quiet and apologetic. He has returned to the Tom Cruise that we all could love.

As far as I am concerned he never had it in the first place. All this showing off in public is a bit naff as is his Scientology, you don't get other stars going public about there religion as much as he does. Maybe that's because they are all mostly Jewish !

pretty much! think the oprah incident put the final nail in the coffin for him and his career! people dont take him or his movies seriously anymore because of his weirdo antics! long gone are the days of his macho top gun image. now i think the only role he could pull off is the nutty professor!
