although he was not a real scientist by modern standards, being influenced by the alchemy and religious mumbo jumbo of his time, but some of the methods he invented can be called scientific

also paracelsus is not his first name. its not his given name at all, but a selfassumed one, in reference to his idol celsus, a roman physician and philosopher.
