I mean i think we put to much bias, towards how great human life is.
I dont think anyones life is worth so much.. teenagers prove this.. with girls having 3 lives by the time they hit 18
I mean, if we kill those 3 kids.. who would care.. not me. just means i might get burgled, mugged, and stabbed 1 less time eh...
We kill people, because, even though we can put a rocket on the moon, we are outa ideas, oh how to make the public(bunch of nutters) happy with the punishment fitting the crime.. i hear now women shouting things like cut his danglies off...
Maybe just cos its fun
Maybe cos killing, is better than an open jail
Maybe because sending people to god, is that terrible?

Capital punishment is used as a deterrent. There's also the notion that someone who incorrigibly kills others, e.g., serial killers, cannot be reformed; so are instead removed for the safety of society at large.
