We often dress baby boys in blue and baby girls in pink... But that does not make pink the best color for women. The colors that look best on you are the ones that blend best with your skin tone, eye and hair colors. It's different for every person. The colors people choose to wear can also reflect their personalities. Outgoing people sometimes favor brighter colors.

Who ever told you that pink is the best colour for women got it WRONG! We are all diffrent colouring in skin tone/hair and eyes so we women well I do wear colours that suit my own personnal self. The last time I wore pink was when I was five and made to wear it as I was a bridesmaid and it did not look good!

EXCUSE ME! I happen to be a woman, who has lived on this earth for over 50 years, and I have worn "pink" less than 5 times in my life! Where do you get off assuming that "pink" is the best colour for all women? Colour is a completely individual thing. I absolutely shudder to think of "pink" on a redhead with freckles.

Decide on the best colours for you, please, and leave the rest of us women out of it!

We have been 'brainwashed' to thinking pink is the colour for baby girls & blue for boys. Desmond Morris ( the astonishing bloke who questions all these silly preconceived notions) offered this explanation. In olden days (and now too) baby boys were more prized & were clothed in blue which represented the sky to protect them from evil spirits. Whereas 'pink' for girls denotes the bodily functions ...like childbirth & menstruation which is associated with the female sex.
That was then....we are now in the 21st century & we still accept these notions blindly?? Free your mind from these stereotypes !

Maybe you were brainwashed by the "pink is for girls, blue is for boys" bs, but thank goddess many of us weren't.
I HATE pink. I can't remember ever wearing it in my whole life. I dressed my girls in blue, green whatever they looked cute in when they were babies. Purple has always been my favorite color, from the time I was a tiny kid until now.
