The attachments are also a pain and I find that it is unbalanced and forever tipping over. I am exhausted when I have finished cleaning my home.

Mine stops working when it gets hot. It will only do around a third of the house and then needs to "rest" and cool down for at least an hour before it works again. I have bought a Hoover model which is every bit as powerful and efficient but only half the weight! I would not have another Dyson if it was given to me.

I think they are heavy 'cos they've got so much suck, and I agree that the attachments are awkward. My 87 yr old Mum can't use hers because she finds it heavy too. Mine blew up recently and I had a new motor put in. However I still like it as it does really clean the carpet....that's when I get around to ever doing it!

Mine self destructed 3 times and I had it fixed 3 times - it wouldn't hold out for the guarantee and went into the skip the fourth time!
Would never recommend them to anyone. Given the choice I would invest in a Kirby.

I have blown up two in the last three years- but I got another one because I do think they are the best at cleaning- i do wish there was somewhere proper to put the attachments though!

I like mine except for the hose that you use. It's to stiff and when trying to reach things it does tip. The suction is great like you said though. Is it worth the 500.00 dollars though?...

Just accept it. Provided the suction is good you dont have to worry, and as a consequence you don't have to vacuum your home as often.
