Yes, anyone is ALLOWED to be gay, we don't need a license.

The question seems to suggest that someone could disallow them from being gay?
Like every other situation in life, the Royal Family are not immune from having gay members of the Family. Several English kings in history were reputed to be gay or at least bi. In recent times, the Queen's Uncle, The Duke of Kent was reputed to have had a fairly lengthy "male friendship" with Noel Cowerd amongst others.
But then, given that the purpose ultimately is for the monarchy and family to perpetuate the line of succession, it isn't something that they are going to be too loud about!

They're the Royal Family so they can be whatever they want. To be honest, I don't think the Royals really care anymore about what the scumbag British press say about them. So they can shout it out loud, play Y.M.C.A. at loud volumes and at the end of the day, the press can holler all they want but nothing can happen to them. They're not elected by anyone. If William or Harry are gay, they can just flip the finger and get on with their life.

Nothing in the constitution that stops any member of the Royal Family from being Gay - happy or homosexual. The only thing that would stop them admitting it would be society - both domestic and global!

how the hell can you prevent anybody from being gay? or being straight for that matter? so yes, anybody in the royal family is "allowed" to be gay, althought i doubt theyd admit it publicly.

Anyone can be gay, however if you are the heir apparent you still need to have at least one child that can take the throne when you die

well you can't stop someone from being gay - either you are or you aren't so its not really important if you are 'allowed' to. however what's a more interesting question is if it would be acceptable for them to be 'openly' gay'. its the year 2006 but would that be too much for them?!
