I was given a Time cybernote 953e but no manual. the cd-rom drive does not work and I have already tried 2 which I purchased from Ebay without success. I also have a battery which is rather large but I can not find out where it goes so I am in need of the manual

Check the manufacturer's web site. They usually have them as a free download.
