i have a career right now but i definitely would like to take good care of my future family and my hubby...so i'd give up my career just to make sure i won't regret something i didn't do to be a good wife and a full time mother........
how bout ur thoughts...........

That sounds like a good plan. You could always go back to work. Just be absolutely sure you are always doing what makes you happy!

I work full time because I don't have any kids and I would get bored if I did not work, I have never understood how people can stay at home all day and watch TV (the ones that have no kids, no job etc, I know that having kids is a 24 hour job and harder work than having a career). I would love to be able to afford to have a baby and stay at home, I can't have kids, we are trying to adopt and if that ever happens I would then be a stay at home mum.

I'm 23 not married and no kids, but I work full time in my career. I think that once I do settle down I will want to continue to work also. I've been working since the age of 14 and I think I would be to bored just to stay at home all the time.

this is really up to you. some women like to be both. they will stay at home part time, watch the kids, take care of their husband,etc. the other part of the time, they want\like to pursue a job because they want a life outside the home. a good idea would be, when your married to talk it over with your husband. tell why you would like/dislike pursuing a career.
also, find a man that wont make your decisions for you. i know some guys, when a woman marries them, they control their life.
find a guy that will allow you the freedom to make your own choices.

You can also be a good wife and a good mother while having career...If you give up your career you will certainly regret when your children grow up!

I'd love to be a househusband and I think I'd be pretty good at it. I can't convince my wife to take that administration job though. I think she likes the teacher/mom role to much. To be honest, I like it that way too!
