Rent some movies. My Fair Lady is an old one, but it does deal with proper pronunciation, in a way. Do you have any friends or associates that have English as their primary language that could help you out. If so, ask them to help.

Speak as if you were mocking someone with the accent you are trying to aquire.
I was a French exchange student for a few weeks in Quebec. I accidently stumbled across this technique while mocking the typical accented parts of the language...I started getting many compliments on how much more clearly I spoke than the others on the trip... Get some movies and copy them exactly. Don't feel silly doing it.

Listen to others who speak English. Not necessarily British. Australians and Americans speak better English than the English do.
