Get some 2x4's and some wire and nails and stuff. Get a hammer, too. Make it from that.

I thought you make cakes from scratch, but I have yet to find any scratch in the store. I suppose you could build your own ceiling fan, but most people would have to ask WHY?

YOU NEED A HOBBY.1 How do you mount it to the ceiling. 2 How are you going to mount the blades to the motor. 3 How are you going to make and balance the blades. 4 How you get the correct angle on the blades. 5 If you got it to work how do you control the speed and keep the blades from flying off. Fans start at about $45.00. Dont be a FOOL.

Hi....
As Jeff says, why? Just to do it? Otherwise, with the incredibly low cost of basic ceiling fans, you'd be much better off just buying one! But if it's just for fun, scrounge your local thrift stores and cobble one together from old discarded ones.
Have fun!

First check to make sure it is balanced, and all blads are at same pitch.
