I love football,,,and i think the season opener,,,should be the two superbowl teams fighting it out again,,,on the winning teams homefield...because they won ,,,they get the advantage of opening up at home....I would love this.....what do ya think....?

I like it! That would stifle the people who say: They stole it, They payed the refs, or It was fixed. Also you know it would be a hard fought battle, as there would be a score to settle.

It would depend. If the two teams underwent a lot of changes in the off-season, then you have two essentially different teams playing in the opener versus the teams that played in the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, I do think it is a good idea.

Better yet to play on the losing teams home field to prove that the win was well deserved.. think about it, going to their home and humiliating them there..........

BUT IT WOULDNT HAPPEN IN SEATTLE !!!!
pittsburgh would leave with their heads hanging.. also they are not even the same team anymore so i say....no this is a ok but not a well thought out idea! good try though!

I agree it sounds like a good idea. Heck this season opener was SUPPOSED to be a rematch of the AFC Championship game, except in Pittsburgh, but Denver got themselves out of it.

that would be great!

it helps to start the season in flames, with full momentum power for everyone including the audiences...
