the lady at the top said she didn't know and should have left it at that cos honestly she know nothing. In kenya you get all the right combinations from mountain climbing on the snow capped Mt. kenya or on Africa's highetst mountain, kilimanjaro . Apart fromthat you get to see all types of wildlfe from the big 5 to the tiniest. that and the rich cultural heritage dating back to the time of the Sultans who came from Oman and introduced spices on the coast it's really a bargain. If you fancy scuba diving then perfect. Go have the time of your life, cheers.

I found that Kenya wasn't as cheap as I expected it to be. It is less expensive than Europe but more expensive than Asia.
How much dinner costs will really decide what sort of place you eat at, if you are in a very touristy place it will obviously cost more than local street food. Can't remember the exchange rate to Kenyan Shillings but a beer generally costs about $1.

It depends on what you like and how much you are willing to spend. Kenya has a wide range of cuisines from the local to the international.

Just avoid eating in the local cafes or kiosk unless you know the area very well. Unless you want to spend more on hospital bills. Try eating in decent looking establishments and ask for proper recommendations from the locals who you meet while you are there.

I can recommend the Carnivore Restaurant where they sell a range of BBQ wild meat and local dishes. Where a good meal comes with a good night out.

Just go out there and have fun!

If you get some really nice locals to show you around, there are some really nice eating places on Mombasa road. I would also recommend Rangers restaurant where you eat as you watch the wildlife. Dinner is also very reasonably priced.
Have fun, enjoy our people's friendliness and generosity.
