How are county district attorneys elected?

Is it the same around the U.S.? How can I find out so I can campaign against a current DA?

You must be an attorney and be elected by the people in the judicial district. I hope you are a responsible individual with the public interest at heart. District Attorney is a very important position in the criminal justice system.
