i agree that human beings are animals too....but ones with brains enough to know what is right and what is not and should be what their name suggests - humane

It depends of the product...how necessary it is...
Let me put the question in a different way...
Would you use a health product without it being tested first in animals?
Or would you prefer being the first living being taking the risk?
It is always a fight between principles and needs. You cannot be at one of the extremes.
I assume that people against animal tests do not use shampoos, deodorants, soaps, toothpastes, cancer drugs, AIDS drugs, mix cakes, ant killers, cola drinks, etc, because all these contains some ingredient previously tested in animals.
The USDA mandates that everything that touches a human body must be tested before in order not to poison people.
Also, I suppose that they are vegetarians, because animals suffer a lot when they are slaughtered.
Eggs? Plants? They all are living beings. Who can assure that they do not suffer?
It is a pity, but a need it if we want to live.

I stopped buying & using Head&Shoulders coz it's tested on animals.
