mind-the-gap, that seems to be the way a lot of things are a lot of the time.

little-lost, sometimes that one thing can happen that seems to override any kind of mental attitude.
You might just be lucky enough not to have it happen too you

Dont worry Sick Puppy, at least you have some modesty left, which is a good thing.
I dont really believe egotists actually achieve anything however much they feel they do.

I think if the egotists had as much to boast about as they think they might just have been able to see more potentail in the way they use this site.

Sky, sometimes people with that kind of attitude can often come across as egocentric and are often overbearing.
I used to have a more positive attitude but the one thing that knocks everything out of line can happen to anyone.
I hope it does not happen to you.

I would like to thank the people for amswering this question and think i have learned that no matter what happens keeping a sense of dignity and modesty can be the most important thing.

Just as I think I'm on my way up, I get shot back down again. Making myself happy doesn't work, there's always some fu*cker waiting to cr*ap all over what I'm trying to do. I can never win.
However, I live in the hope that it will not always be like this.. It will get better. So hang on in there!

No, I feel whatever I do I cannot lose. Everything works out for me. Every disaster becomes a victory. I surf through life, leaving the waves below me, and I never wipeout.

Yes, it happens a lot. I try to do something good, I make some one else mad; I try to stay out of something, someone thinks I'm being mean; I try to get involved, someone says I'm pushy; I try to stand my ground, someone says I'm b**chy. I just can't win for trying.
