My nose hurts when i touch it, the skin is sensitive around the nostrils (i put vicks vaporub on it because i had what i thought was a slight cold, lots of mucous which is now gone but the soreness remains). last week i woke up it felt as if something had gone up my nose so i've been touching the skin around the nostrils frequently, wiping etc and sticking tissue up it to see if anything came out...now its sore! what can i put on to soothe it which is gentle enough to put just inside the nostrils too...??

You might have a small infection under the skin causing swelling which is where the pain comes from .
Good luck and check with a health-care procfessional if it does not get better.
