Do the creators of "Emma, A Victorian Romance" still plan to continue the very short TV series?

I really loved that anime. However, it seems like there are only 12 episodes. Worse, I don't know what would happen to William and Emma, who have gone their separate ways in the last episode. Are they working on its second part? Thanks.

I have heard it was cancelled in Japan. :( The manga may be still going, however. Check out the link to find out more info. Sorry I can't be more help.
