Yes. I actually know of 3 people who won at different times.
The woman who used to make my birthday cakes won 22 million. My husbands cousin won 75 thousand and a girl my mum works with won 2 million.
The best i got was 4 numbers which was 81 quid at the time.

Yes, they worked running a butcher shop in the village, were so pleasant and nice. Couldn't get a nicer couple!

Then they won millions and became sour faced ignorant lade-la snobs, seriously! They stopped talking to people and cut family out off their lives, moved out of the village then did a story in a well known magazine about how the lottery ruined their lives! It was sad and pathetic! They weren't complaining when they bought house after house and car after car! They ended up getting a divorce and hardly any of the family talk to them now, even the kids!

If the money made them that depressed they should of donated it to charity! People who actually needed it!

A very close friend of mine won 3.5 million
She won the money within the first month of the lottery starting, she bought a business, treated her family to houses and holidays and generally had the time of her life.
Now her business is making a profit of about 1 million a year.
we are still friends and see each other often, she never became snob/ snooty and i wish her wealth health and happiness always, ( still wish i'd won the money though ) lol

When I lived in Australia, the neighbours in the street won $500,000 on the lottery. They were akin to "trailer park trash" though and had squandered it all after about 12-18 months. They just boozed up on it. They moved away to a new house they bought, but had to sell it not long after.

I know a lady who won £680k and all of her family flocked around like vultures
She sorted them all out, and they just wanted more and more....there was the inevitable family rift, all the money got spent in 5 years, and the woman now lives in a caravan (trailer) and her family mostly dont talk to her
Thats greed for you

Not the lottery but my mum and nan won the big one on bingo. From what I remember that was about over £20k each.

My stepdad won £23'000, twice (he forgot he'd already put the lotto on that week so won on both tickets). I once found £40 worth, but won jack all

The son of one of our sales reps at work won £280k on the Euromillions a few months ago, as much as I hate to say it it really couldn't have happened to a nicer person (still jealous that it wasn't me though!)
