Bit of a tricky situation. It would appear to me your boss is in league with the culprit. There may be other accounts being dipped. Obviously if you tell the wife there is the risk you get fired. You could inform the police, theft is theft after all. Personally I would tell the wife and if got fired sue for unfair dismissal and inform the police and press of their illegal goings on.

Maybe you can document this some how that you informed your boss so you don't get the blame. Try to make a recording of discussing this again with your boss. Maybe he is waiting to catch the person red handed. Very volatile situation that your caught in the middle of.

I would mention it to the wife and if you can get records and make copies of them because understand you might get terminated and you might need this information if you are terminated for unfair labor practices.

Do what your boss says MYOB.

You do not want to get his wife involved, if you do you will lose. If the situation comes again do exactly what you did last time.
