The illusion created by those in power is that Americans are in constant and grave danger, thus the people feel they must keep them in power so they can protect them. the irony of course as you pointed out is that these same people that claim to be tough and the only ones that can protect the country, are the ones that let it happen and have since been blindsiding everyone trying to cover up the facts and to plough through their own agendas.
Bottom line if a national crisis such as a terrorist attack can help the politicians get public support for a profitable war, then it will happen.
I guess we are as safe as the government of the day wants us to be.

Just yesterday I was talking to an elderly woman about the bush administration and the way 9/11 has changed our lives. So in my opinion there is something we lost on that that day that the (so called) terrorist won in the free world! They won the war on terror.
Personally I feel that the (free world) is not at all free anymore! I feel not as safe with my rights as an American as many co-workers that are from the UK & around Europe that the CIA could have placed a stop to 9/11 & that's already been proven!
i spent two days of my life exploring the released reports of what the CIA knew before 9/11.
Thinking even more I feel more of a theaght from my very own Goverment than Bid Lauden.
Iraq was not the intended target but was in the White House & Afganastan was harbering Bin Laden.
It's time we all speak up all over the (FREE WORLD)?

We are as safe as a free country can be.
Wake up people...look around.
Car bombings in London,Israel,Saudi,Turkey.
WWI and WWII in Europe.
Many years of unrest in Ireland.
Atomic bombs in Japan.
The other side of the world has been in caos for centuries.
Every once in a while someone finds away to touch us, and by pure luck and the right circumstances a tragedy like Pearl Harbor and 9/11 happens.
All of a sudden we are not safe and the government let it happen.
"Let" is a powerfull word when misused.
I think the correct way to describe the governments part is.....The government did not recognize the warning signs or didn't take them serious enough.
But they did not "let" it happen.
It's not like the military or government officials were standing around telling each other "look they're about to take out the towers....watch this..give me a beer"
Look at the rest of the world and imagine what it would be like to live somewhere else.
Are we really that un protected?

Bin Laden doesn't matter. He had nothing to do with 9-11, he's just the face to hate and the excuse to invade countries opposing the NWO and not giving up their resources willingly.
I would be scared when the same government are in power and still support MOSSAD and the CIA who carried out these attacks in collusion with the U.S government.
PEACE

Yes. We haven't had a major attack on the US since 9/11. Several attacks were discovered & broken up.
We aren't completely safe - Never can be. But we are certainly in better shape than under Clinton who let several attacks happen & did nothing & passed on opportunities to capture Bin Laden.

Safer cause they made it more difficult to get on a plane? into the country? because we have troops wasting their lives away in a foreign counrty. Hardly, terrorists dont only come from overseas, many are born right in our backyard.......many in our own government yet so many dont want to see it that way. Safe is an overstatement. History can repeat itself at any moment no matter what we do.

Peace is existing because terrorist activities are prevented by the government. However, the threat is still a menace to the society especially that Osama Bin Laden and his cohorts are still free.
