Don't you hate it when you go to the movies, and someone...somewhere is wearing some VERY strong smelling purfume? Do you consider it somewhat impolite?

Next to crying babies and cellphones ringing out of the blue, theres nothing worse to me. You can't get away from it and you're forced to sit in the "cloud" through out the entire film.

Do you think people who wear purfume to the movies are somewhat inconsiderate? I understand people are on dates, but isn't it somewhat rude? I mean sheesh.. you can't even smell your popcorn or candy over it. blahhh

You hit the nail on the head! Crying babies, chronic coughers, ADD kids, and text messagers are all annoying. There's nothing worse, though, than walking through a cloud of Chanel No. 5. You know you wear too much when you cant smell the popcorn with "butter topping".

Yes it is rude. I like to wear perfume but I make it a point not to wear it when people will be forced to sit by me and smell it.
I would not wear perfume to a movie, a meeting or to church.
You know people will be close to you and since some of us have allergies and feel sick from it I leave it off for those occasions.

No, it may be not politically correct any more to want to smell nice, but if you don't want to smell perfume, stay home. You are probably the only person in the whole theatre who doesn't like the smell. besides, it is SOOOO much better than sitting behind someone who didn't take a bath for a week, or sit in front of someone with smelly feet who puts his feet up on the back of your seat.

I'd prefer sickly sweet heady perfume that's about to annihilate me rather than unwashed/smelly socks/ dried up sweat ANYDAY!!

I don't understand the need for cologne.. Wouldn't a deo do?

But heck!! The reason ppl go to movies is to watch a movie along with a bunch of ppl they don't even know who have their own habits...
Different people have their own issues when it comes to enjoying a movie in public..
So, if one does NOT want anything to disturb his/her movie watching experience, I'd suggest he/she get a home theater OR buy all the tickets to a show!
Capiche?

There is a reason that some public places (such as hospitals) have a scent ban. It's becoming common for people to have allergies to scents like perfume. It's also inconsiderate!

i strongly. i think next to baby crying, cell ringing, the strong smell of perfume, the next thing would be pple starting the eat their crackers while watching movies. the most irritating scenes when watching the horror or thriller moves and suddenly, the sound of eating crackers spoilt the whole atmosphere.
