I Haven't.
Two of my friends did. One had her eyes done in Canada & the other friend had her eyes done in South Australia. Both were very concerned about the surgery & both were great sucesses.
There is always risks and no it's not 100% safe - no surgery is. But my friends are glad they did it. I think there eye sight is better then mine & I've never had to wear glasses.

Quick answers: Don't know about success in India; some poor results anywhere can be double vision, loss of night vision, poor correction, infections. Important to check out the reputation and qualifications of the doctor and the surgery center. Type of procedure and equipment matters. Can be slightly painful the next day - might feels like sand in your eyes. The procedure can be scary when the scalpel is used to peel back part of the cornea. No injections but anesthetics solutions are used. Be careful if you have very poor eyesight or thin corneas - you may not be a suitable candidate.

My Cousin just got it done and she has been wearing glasses since she was 7/8 years of age and is now 22. She got one eye done and is getting the 2nd one done in 3months time, she said she didn't feel a thing and its only 15 minutes work. After 3 days she was perfect vision wise and she doesn't need glasses now she only wears a contact in the eye that still has to be done. I'd go for it.

I had it done, it's not as easy as they make it look on the makeover shows. I had to sleep with both eyes covered by plastic goggles. Eye drops twice a day to relieve swelling and reduce chances of infection. Really thick eye drops at night to keep your eyes moist. Visits to the eye doctor to check progress. I ended up not being able to produce tears so now I have to use synthetic tears daily. Vision is about 20/30, I could see 20/15 with my contacts. Was it worth it, NO.

my sister got it done and she says that now she she isnt far or near sighted but her astigmatism got worse and she probably will have to wear glasses as she gets older or to improve her vision to 20/20

dont get it done in a clinic that doesnt get alot of patients per day
the more packed it is,the better. dont make the mistake of going for the cheaper place. the more people they treat themore experienced they are. Good Luck ! :)

Get Lasik Surgery in India. It is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Eye surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your eye surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Lasik Eye surgery &Dental Surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps
