A roadside assiatance company came to fix a flat tire on my car and damaged the molding/rocker on my car by improper placement of a heavy duty jack. I have the estimates, pictures, and even wrote the damage on the receipt in which the employee signed, and the company keeps giving me the run around and won't fix my car. This was in July. What can I do? The company has no web site based in DC, and no one there will give me a number other than a managers cell phone number. I just want my car fixed!!

These companies are usually regulated within their jurisdictions. Check your phone book for such or call any state or city office for help. Also you can check the Internet for regulatory help. If all fails take them to small claims court and make sure you have all or as much proof as possible...especially the one which they signed.
If your proof is good you will win.You may have to fix your car first but a win will help you cover at least some of the damages. Any pictures you may have will be a big help along with any statement from a reliable repair shop.

Don't let them get away with it! That's what they are counting on.

If it is Washington, D.C. the company is just trying to follow the lead of the polititians there: trying to get out of everything. We have AAA and they are good, we have never had them damage anything and we have used them a few times. Since the person signed the ticket accepting the damage then you should be able to get the money to get the car repaired. If it is AAA I think ours is out of Minnesota, even though we don't live there. When you call the number you called for the assistance they should give you a connection to a supervisor. I hope you get it fixed.

was this a AAA roadside repair? If it was, they take these things pretty seriously and I would contact them directly. They don't want repair shops damaging their customers cars because then they loose customers that way.
