It's only 48 degrees f right now, but later today it will get up to 67. I was wondering if it's too warm for a denim jacket - I don't want to be cold today, but I don't want to be warm and need to take it off.

It's not too warm where I am, and the low is only about 60 degrees. I'd certainly wear mine, even when it warmed up to 74 or so. Unless your denim jacket is lined with flannel, I don't think it will be too warm for you at 67. You be the judge.

No. You can wear one. It's almost fall in 8 more days, if I'm not mistaken.

Cotton fabrics are very tolerable at those temps.

If you think you'll need it, take it. There's no sense in being cold.
