Osama Bin Laden is a master of disguise, escape and evasion. Thus, the Americans cannot catch him.

Bin Laden is hiding in the tribal agencies between Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is a difficult and mountainous terrain, people are fiercely independent, even British Empire of India was unable to reach there.

You are right about oil. In this energy starved world there is no asset more precious than oil. That's why we have 150,000 Anglo-American troops stationed in Iraq which has nothing to do with 911, and only a few thousand NATO troops in Afghanistan.

Corss border terrorism between India and Pakistan is the after-effect of the war in Afghanistan. Once the war ended in 1988 and demise of Soviet Russia in 1990, US and the west lost all interest in the region and left it to Pakistan and Afghanistan to build a country torn by a decade long war. The freedom fighters trained to fight Soviets started infiltrating Kashmir.

Finally Pakistani government is willing to have a third party negotiation on the issue of Kashmir but India insists that its an internal problem of India and it will not accept any negotiation or mediation by any other country.

Osama bin Laden was, and probably is a CIA asset. He will be 'alive' as long as Bush's administration needs a figure that can inspire fear in the American people. He needs only mention Osama or al qaeda to get everyone unquestioningly supporting his agendas whatever they may be.
He will be 'caught' when he is no longer of any use to them.

C'mon its so fricken simple....they don't want to catch Bin Laden or they would have done so in Bora Bora.... If they catch him they wont have a reason to keep spending money on ths WAR ON TERROR....of course BIN LADEN is for real but I think he plays both sides....He probably is getting money from our Government to hang low....rememeber no Bin Laden no one to hate and no evil icon to despise....he is more important to the Bush Admin alive!!!!
