The so called "FREE" sites i have looked at, end up asking for 19.99 for the year or 29.95 for 3 years. I agree that is good value, but i have been told that there are some TOTALLY free download sites.

It's perfect even for beginners because the software is really intuitive ad easy to use but at the same time it has really advanced functions for more experienced users.

You need to search for 'freeware' not 'shareware'. Shareware gives you a trial, then you pay if you like the program enough to keep it. Freeware is just free.
Loads of big companies give away older versions of their software, knowing that a percentage of people will update to the paid for, latest version. You get free programs on magazine disc covers - look for the companies then go check out their websites for downloads!
Then look at the magazine titles in the newsagents and go to their websites.
