Get active in a church
Ask your friend to introduce to some
Join a book club
Take a cooking class
Take ballroom dancing (always shortage on men there)
Volunteer in the baby ward at the hospital
Join a bowling league or darts or pool
It is easier to meet women while doing something - you then see you have something in common by the time you are in your forty's you don't want just looks.

Meeting people in real life is a lot more fulfilling than meeting them online. Go out, go to singles meetings or parties, ask someone at work to have dinner with you.
