A computer is a device that computes.
Historically, it start off doing mainly mathematical and scientific calculations, subsequently, it went into word processing and data base applications, graphics, presentations, games, communications and a lot more.
In today's terms, the computer is a general purpose device that does many of the functions listed above and often used for surfing the Internet and reading emails.

that is a bit harder, but not much. it means to add a piece of information into the computing device, make it interact with other pieces of information already stored inside the device, and put the result out again.
translated to what you would call a computer, that means for example, to input an electrical signal into the computer by pressing a key on your keyboard. this signal gets processed in a way according to the program the computer runs. into a letter in case of a word processor... or into movement on the screen in case of a game... or a sound if you run a soundprogram... and so on...
the word computing has originally no technical meaning, but since the first mechanic and then soon electric computing devices appeared, it has become almost exclusively connected with them.
mechanic computing devices have fallen out of fashion also... so if you hear the word computer today, expect something electric and digital. :)
