It could be a number of things, such as a faulty power supply. The leads or battery might need replacing.
Or it could be overheating, try hoovering out the air vents to clear any dust. I think you need to get it looked at.

Well quite interesting there can be many reasons like

1. check wehter battery is getting charged when power cord is pluged if yes then it is possible that your power point is faulty and the laptop switches over to battery mode after some time
2. Check for over heating of the machine ( check the bottom )
3. Go to control panel -> power options -> chk the sandbytime and turnoff hard disk time change them to never
lastly

Check for viruses !!!!

Are u using the AC adaptor, or battery?
Reason could be a fault battery. That the battery out, just just the adapter.
If problem still exist, the propably is the power circuitary having problem. This may be expensive to replace.
You can also check if there are any heat problem or not. Overheat can cause this problem too

Because it will not turn back on for awhile my first thoughts would be that it is over heating. Make sure enough air flow is getting to the fan on the bottom: 1. Place it on a flat and firm surface. 2. Clean the fan. 3. Try using a cooling pad. If you have tried all these things and it is still doing this you may want to have the system checked out, especially if it is still under warranty.

Erectile Dysfunction can be devastating to men, and unfortunately, millions of men suffer from the condition. Learn how to cure erectile dysfunction https://tr.im/fe4OX

If you go to the doctor to talk about the issue, you’re likely to get put on one or more of the popular medications used to treat the condition. While they can be effective (temporarily), these medications come with a raft of side effects, some of which are decidedly unpleasant. Even worse, these medications aren’t really a cure, they’re more like a temporary workaround.

Worst of all, they tend to be really expensive. Month after month, you’re having to pay to work around your condition. That’s what the Big Pharmaceutical companies want.

batteries have what is called memory.
it means the battery remembers the last time it was charged do it tells the charger to stop charging it and to indicate a full charge. so battery isn't full. you might want to replace it. getting a new battery is going to be very hard for any laptop older than one and a half years.
two your power cord could be faulty get an electron to examine the problem.
also the power saving program might be damaged

it could be a number of things - but my initial bet would be overheating ....check the vents on back or bottom are they restricted with dust etc ? if so glently clear them if not ....then can you hear the cooling fan going round inside ? .....if the fan is not working then it will need to be taken to an approved repairer .....

If you have someone who knows their way around the bios there is normally a temperature reading for the cpu as well to see if its too hot .....

there are other problems like a faulty battery /power supply or faulty ram .....or even viruses/malware ...........
