There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love has a number of definitions both connotative and denotative.
There is erotic "love" which refers to that type of love that is purely physical, mostly sexual, in nature.
There is "filia" love which refes to the kind of love between family members such as brothers and sisters.
There is "Storge" love which refers to the kind of love between parent and child.
Then there is "Agape" love which refers to an unconditional love that does not require an equal response. It is also called "godly" love because it is the kind of love that forever hopes, believes, endures and never gives up.
When trying to decide whether real love is present, consider these four types of love. If there is any love present at all, it will fit into one of the above categories.

If you have real love, you can put yourself in others place, feel their feelings, and never do or say anything to hurt or degrade them. You have compassion, empathy and good will and feel emotionally fulfilled by your love. That is my definition of true love.

real love is something which cannot be expressed. it can only be felt .it makes you happy just for nothing , it makes you cry just for nothing and it makes you feel out of the world. it makes you smile, and above all again it can't be expressed.its one of the most precious things of the earth.

love is when you cant live w/ out that person in your life. they are the last thing you think of before you fall asleep and they are the first thing you think of when you wake up, love makes your life enjoyable. it is fulfillment and happiness to your life. love brings light upon your life

'REAL LOVE' is accepting who she/he was. you'll accept her whatever bad past experience the she/he encountered. no matter what, (religion, sex, age, background, education, etc.) you'll fight for her/him even there are whose against your relationship.
