I'm just wondering what brand of eyeliner should I choose? I live in a tropical country and it's really hot in here plus I sweat a lot and my face gets oily in the afternoon when things get haggard (or stressed up), and that includes my eyelids. As a result, when afternoon comes, my eyeliner melts down to my lower lids creating dark circles.

Does applying an eyeshadow with the same color over the liner the answer? Or is there a brand that will solve my problem? :)

What you need is a water resistant formula. Revlon makes one of the best called Colorstay. This truly does stay all day until you take it off with makeup remover! Another long lasting brand is from Stili Style 24 hour time liner. Great prices on both of these too! If it's a really humid day, the best thing to do it just go with a few thick coats of a waterproof and waterresistant mascara. L'Oreal Voluminous is one of the best in this category. If it's not a super hot day/night yes, applying the eyeliner OVER a line of similar shade eyeshadow is a very good way to keep it up. By the way, Benefit cosmetics also make a great eye makeup product to seal called She Laq which you put over your makeup once you have applied it. This will also help.

It isn't easy to find BUT get yourself a eyeliner that is hard and dry, when you buy it ...to make your liner usable you just dip the brush in water and swirl it around on the dry eyeliner and for me it is easy , fast it doesn't run ..and is more accurate.

I have never tried shadow over liner ...It seems to me that would lighten the color of the liner ... I put on liner to darken and define my eyes.

Have Fun!

If you put a neutral colour eyeshadow on before applying the eyeliner then use lancome kohl pencil it is slightly more expensive but works a treat.

Use eyeshadow to line. you could notice it moist in case you decide on it to look darker and extra like liner. This works fairly properly with a skinny makeup brush. additionally, notice some mascara to the backside lashes to make it look a sprint extra coated, yet do no longer pass loopy with the quantity you notice. in basic terms sufficient to furnish it a sprint extra definition.
