Mainly because the american people dont care. And no matter what you say its going to change.. and the fact that you call us "evil, and stupid, and say the world hates the usa. well you are the people that start arguements, and if we were stupid and the world hated us... why does the united states have 72 of the top 100 best university in the world with alteast twice as many nobel prizes than any other country.. the united states is the 3nd most visted country behind france and spain.. we are the country most immigrated too and our culture is copied all over the world.

Did it occur to you that the reason America has more top 100 universities and nobel prizes is because it is so huge, and therefore has more universities and nobel prize entries than other countries and should have a higher proportion naturally?
And a lot of people only visit America to buy cheap stuff, quite frankly, and again- look at the size- there are a huge amount of destinations to be visited so it's naturally going to be high on the list.
I'm not anti-American. I grew up there, and am a US citizen. But I understand why some people hate us. It's the kind of arrogance you're inching towards a bit here by saying "oh we don't care, look at some statistics to prove how great we are!"
Everyone KNOWS most Americans don't care when people slag them off, because they're often so convinced of their own superiority that they write off any criticism (legitimate or otherwise) as "oh they're jealous cuz we're free" or whatever.
And it's often ridiculous to hear an American trying to have a sensible argument about the merits of their country because there is so much ignorance about other countries- it's all propoganda, not genuinely researched and informed opinions.
I am presenting a totally stereotypical view, I know that- but there is plenty of truth in these stereotypes.

One of the problems rating universities is the fact that if your country is a leader in a certain field then the rest of the world must first learn your language, then the field, to compete. (How many Americans speak a second language?) Yes, we have had problems dealing with past mistakes, but what country has not? However if a country wishes to call us evil and stupid then why don't they feed themselves?

The USA are not above criticism. People can criticize what they want. Americans do that all the time too, only they call it criticism when they do it to others and American bashing or anti-Americanism when it's them who are being criticized.
A lot of people disapprove of many things the US have done and are doing. That doesn't mean that they hate everything that has something to do with the US.
There are reasons behind the criticism, but you choose to ignore that and refuse to acknowledge that your country does bad things sometimes.
Just because people like your universities doesn't mean they have to agree with what you're doing in Iraq or think it's ok how you pollute the planet and break human rights. They can hate some things about America and like or even love other things. You see, the rest of the world doesn't have the simplistic view that "you're either with us or against us".

US of A. is a grate country..has a lot of clout ..keeps world order..having said that ..off course you are bound to have the best Unis in the world because you got the money..you lot give out the Nobel prizes ..so your bound to give it to your self's more than others..holidays in US of A ..fantastic because we like burgers..CULTURE ..what CULTURE ..i didn't know you had any ..cultures in America yes..American culture no

The reason a lot of people don't like Americans is because so many Americans go around proclaiming that their country is better than everyone elses all the time. That pisses people off. Especially when it is based on blind rhetoric and a complete lack of knowledge and contempt for other peoples countries. It IS AMERICANS WHO HAVE STARTED ALL THE ARGUMENTS.
Other countries have their ways because that is the way THEY like it. Respect other peoples countries and they will respect yours. You obviously have a long way to go.
I could name many many reasons why I think my country is better than yours but I have RESPECT.

That's just it you don't care - you bomb a country, and then you don't care.
Perhaps people just dislike America because they envy your freedom. It could not have anything to do with you imposing your will in their country.
Why does Australia have more in the Top 5 universities than you? What is your source for 'top universities'.
And let me put it like this:
You turned people's countries, (with generous help from those in those countries, I admit) into crud, and then act all suprised when the educational system didn't match what your own was.
Mind you, of late you've been left behind.
Your culture is cheap, and very much based on 'survival of the fittest'. That is why people use it.

its really annoying. i hate how no one says they are american. they always say they are like 50% italian and like 50% german. no one admits that they were born here and so were their parents amking them pretty much american
