I wouldn't set a ratio.

I would try to hire on the basis of ability and merit. If the company turned out all male or all female that would be because those were the ones who were qualified. Any mix in between would be acceptable to me if I had the best possible employees.

If i am the owner/promoter of my company, i require work to be done, revenue to be generated. I am not bothered about sex ratio at all. i am not running a charity show or doing social service. People capable of doing required work, is what i would be looking for. Skilled/unskilled - men/woman. no conmen.

Depending on what kind of work, if it's not having to do manual work, I think women are better workers so female to male, 10:1.
