Has anyone else noticed here in the u.k the disgusting way that sky treat their customers, their so-called customer services are in my opinion the worst in the country.
I have had so many of their reps on the phone telling nothing but blatant lies, and i have now had eleven problems with them in two weeks, and still got nowhere, is this the trend now to just lie to get rid of the customer in this country, this problem seems to be with other companies as well right across the board, so what can we all do, its no good saying do not buy from the company because we already have, how do we get good service

I completely agree with you. They're rude, inaccurate, misleading and arrogant. It's their way or no way. if you threaten to cancel because of their screw ups they just say 'When would you like to cancel? You must give 30 days notice'. They don't care about anyone. They have so many customers paying so much money that they've lost all sight of customer satisfaction. And why are all the good deals for NEW customers? I've been a customer for many many years and they treat me like crap. The adverts say' £8 per month'. I'm paying £50 per month!!

I used to work for SKY CS. It can take up to 3 months just to learn the billing process, and most trainees are let loose (go live) after 2 weeks. So much has to be learned - billing, technical queries, liasing with other departments, etc - and it can be a thankless job. To be honest, most of the staff at my place were only there 2 months or so maximum. I stayed for 2.5 years. Some queries can be complex, especially where billing is concerned - this requires an experienced member of staff. What to do - ASK TO SPEAK TO A TEAM LEADER if you feel the rank-and-file staff cannot deal with your requests.. This is your right as a customer of SKY.

Funny enough i had a problem with them yesterday. My freezer broke, my fridge then followed suit, the bank's fobbed me off cos they'd lost yet another form, and then the straw that broke the camel's back was Sky. I was supposed to get 3 months half price, but because my billing date is on the wrong date, the offer expires before the third bill so i'm only getting 2 months half price. Not only that but when i moved and they fitted the sky in my new house, the engineer pointed the dish at a tree so i didn't get any signal and it was a further 2 weeks before they sent someone out. You're not alone sausage...they get on my t*ts too!!!

I think it's the same everywhere, i have had loads of problems with other companies where they just tell you lies just to get you off the phone and no matter how many times you contact them the same things happen. the other thing i hate is when they pass you to different departments and they know that these people cant help you. i would probably get more sense from an alien than customer services

I detest Sky's attitude to customers, they just lie and lie. I once spoke to an ex-Sky customer service person who told me that they were taught how to lie when training! They treat all their customers like sh1t and their charges are a rip off, especially for HD, I mean who can afford that? If they reduced their prices a bit, more people would take it up and they would make more money, the signal is out there anyway.

You are so right! The lies they come out with is phenomenal! They charged me for services not received for two months and had the cheek to say I should of contacted them about it earlier when I didn't even know I was supposed to be receiving these services! The phone calls cost you an arm and a leg coz they pass you from one operator to another. And as for rudeness! I was trying to explain my dilemma to one of their operators and after just a couple of minutes 'He' cut me short and nastily requested me to "Cut it short"! I think he could tell by my voice that he'd stepped on the wrong persons foot and soon put me onto one of his colleagues! Actually I think I could write a book!!!

I have to say I have never had a problem with Sky customer services. It does help if you don't have an attitude with them when you phone.

The whole industry seems to have an image problem when it comes to customer support.

We could learn a thing or two from the Americans!
