A capella is acceptable too.

A capella's great and fun.
But i like piano coz not only is relaxing listening to it, but when you play it the mood is so poignant, and its like you're oblivious to the rest of the world.
Also you can play the piano in nearly all genres and it sounds befitting!

I would have to say the electric guitar. More specifically a standard Fender Strat. I've played different instruments sinse I was a child (Starting out with the violin, moving onto piano and drums) But the guitar is something I've always stuck with. I think it's the warmth of the notes and the range of music you can play. Plus if you start getting techincal you can add some sound effects using various pedals available. Anything in the guitar family would satisfy me.

i like to hear the Tabla (drum like instrument which is from India). I dont know why, but whenever i hear the tabla, my spirit feels like rising high, you feel something different. Whenever i feel down, or whenever i cant think of a strategy for my business, i turn on my tabla cd and just clear my mind and hear it, amazingly the tabla really do help us be more energetic, y? i m not sure. Maybe the banging sound yet sound excellent has some connections with our spiritual side, when ever heard the our aura seems to be balanced.
I cant play the tabla but i love to hear the tabla sound....

Drums and piano. Drums coz I think whoever plays it really looks interesting and really gets you in the mood. Piano coz I love the simplicity in music. I've recorded some songs only with piano as an instrument and the results were amazing.

I love to play the guitar, harmonica and the piano. But, I really love how a bass can accentuate any song, from any genre.

The drums. Its nice to strike the drums, especially in a rock or other noisy music.
