Etc is a short form of Et Cetera.

Which means so on and so forth.

Or you can say an endless list.

etc basically means so on and so forth if you want the literal meaning then Et Cetera is a Latin word which when translated to english means so forth...eg. the supermarket sells fruits,vegetables,etc,etc...

IT CAN BE ANYTHING (any acronym) BECAUSE IT IS NOT etc. If you really intended to write 'Et cetra i.e. etc., you should have used smaller case with a full stop after etc.
