and acetone im not sure how thatworks but heres my situation my rent is coming up and i dont have a rect, for my money order and i understand that i can mail it back to the company but im afraid i will be homeless befor i get my refund. help me someone i am desperat.

Do not try to modify the money order. Chances are good that it will not be honored and your landlord will be doubly upset when it is returned.
Show your landlord your messed up money order and explain that you are going to have to take it back and have it voided and get another. Being upfront and honest about your mistake will gain you points and understanding most of the time.

Nothing will erase a check or money order. If you try the 2 you mentioned or anything else, the money order will become void.
If you made a spelling error, or wrote the money order to the wrong person or company, scratch a line through the error, initial the error line, and write the correct name in. NOW LISTEN, this works in the U.S. for personal checks, I do not have information if this works on money orders. BUT, I suggest you call a Bank, and ask them before you do anything, they may very well have the answer that will work for you. Good Luck.

Take it back to where you bought it from, and tell them you can't use it. You will get your money back, then just purchase another.

try taking it back where you bought it, they might void it out and give you a new one
