So i was out with the girls today and my friend was asking us about how to treat acne. Well after giving her some of the normal advise my other friend comes out saying that the girls in mexico have nice skin because what they do is use take the stuff that comes out while on their period, put it on their fac like a facemask for about an hour or so and then wash it off. supposedly it had something in it that's good for the skin. can this really be true? and would people really do this if it would work?

Um....yeah don't do that. Poor societies make up weird things like that because they cannot afford doctors, like dermatologists. It won't work. Plus, it's really gross.

Nope, not true. I had acne, and I heard it all. Someone even suggested that I use my "first morning urine" to wash my face.
If this really worked, some company would have researched it by now, found the magic ingredient that supposedly cures the acne, and put it in medicine form.
In the end no home remedies work. But whether Mexicans do this or not, I cant tell you.

Your friend is a lunatic... and gullible as I have ever heard. Where did she hear this nonsense?... didn't you even question her source? you might be just as gullible as her.
Being clean inside as well as out will help acne... oily food, chocolate, etc will worsen Ache. Wash your face often... and ease up on the make-up. But severe ache is a virus best treated with medicine... one product out of china called the "FACE DOCTOR" soap has helped many. it is about $20 it contains Seabuckthorn Oil, http://www.facedoctor.ca/

absolutely not... Like ewww.. those things that come out are actually dead blood cells peeling off your uterus or something. Sorry, my biology is rusty. It's just some made up story to get people to do stupid things... Why not someone ask their doctor and confirm with us? Hahaha... But seriously, don't do that. It's just disgusting. Maybe Fear Factor should make this as one of the obstacles. ROFL...

If this worked it would be the standard treatment for Acne by all who suffer from it. Since you have only heard of this recently from your friend, then I would have serious doubts about her credability. This sound like something she made up for the shock value or is repeating something she heard from someone as stupid as she.

It's not fun, indeed, but as what comes out at that time is a placenta meant for nourishing the baby, it makes sense.
I... wouldn't try it myself. I ain't that bad a case, by a looong haul.
