What types of namespaces are we using when we launch a web browser under Unix or Linux?

Also when we enter a URL, and view the yahoo web page?
Is this use of names on the web the best model for naming things like the yahoopage, or should there be a better way for naming such objects?

It should be the same as on any other platform. All use FQDN.

huh? I doubt anyone understand what you asking, but POSIX sounds like the answer to your namespace question.
