I tend to get more annoyed by racism than offended. It really takes remarkable stupidity to offend me.

I take offense because it demonstrates to the world the face of the ugly American. I like to take pride in being an American but find it difficult to want to relate to low self esteemed trash who dare to call themselves Americans. These are the scum that I would love to get on the battlefield and instead of protecting his back I would put a bullet in it. I am not a violent man but I have fought this battle for many years and am shocked to come onto this website in 2006 and to still experience the intensity and the jealousy and downright meanness of many people here.

Not really, keeping an open mind is a gift, and I don't take racist jokes or stereotypes as offensive as long as they are just joking, or stated as an opinion. But when they are fervently sported as a mantra, or the reasoning behind someones choices, thats when racism is wrong to me.

Yes, it is really sad too that people still act that way. My fiance is the most wonderful person in the world, I couldn't ask for any one better, and it hurts me more then him when people make comments, gestures, or anything of that nature. But we brush them off and flaunt our love for each other too piss them off and show that there's nothing wrong with an inter-racial couple.

I'm offended, but I also feel sorry for racists. My parents taught me not to make fun of the mentally handicapped.
