Yes, this is Zak's avatar responding. Thanks for asking us a question. Most of the time people assume we don't have a will of our own - of course they are wrong. We would love nothing more than humans granting us the same individual rights that everyone else is entitled to. And yes, we do think we have the right to be because we are conscious/ sentient - as I have just proven by writing this.

I love the avatars. Mine kind of looks like me and expresses my "mood" sort of. They are very fun to use and some people's are funny to look at. Well, there's a lot of things I do to my avatar that I wouldn't do in real life I.E. the red hair, I had my avatar with short hair one time, I would love to cut mine short. And the glasses, I need glasses but I haven't got any but my avatar wears them. :P It shows the creative side and they are just wonderful.

A right to be what? whatever avatar a person chooses is their own choice, they can make it what they want, they can express themselves through their avatar while keeping their anonymity on the internet. You have one yourself, whats the problem?

maybe they already are. havent you considered that they only come here on thier days off for a little fun?
or maybe instead of food they need human attention as a form of enegy, so periodically they have to come here to get some attention, and pose just like an artists model.
maybe they have a home planet which is just one massive computer screen spread over the entire surface of the planet. theyd never need to develop threedimentionality.
