It's not a "rare phenomenon". There are billions of people in the world, and every one of them dreams(whether they remember it or not)and the chances are pretty high that eventually something you dreamed about will happen. Your mind bases your dreams on people you know, and life experiences and circumstances. Not future events, unless supernaturally, and then, usually only about something really important.

It's called deja vu and is not uncommon at all. You dream for hours every night ... it's pretty certain some of those dreams will really happen to you when you're awake. Just don't expect to find yourself flying on the back of a unicorn or the like.

I have have it often aswell. The matrix interprets it as when the machines changed something in the program. But I say its a gift, its a sign that fate is trying to tell us.
