Hostel. It was the worst because I was expecting something scary and horrible and all I got was a lot of T&A. The last 20 mins of the movie showed some gore but it had on the back of the DVD, "Relentlessly graphic and deeply disturbing, the film is sure to shock even the most hardcore horror genre fans.".and on the cover it stated "the scariest American movie in a decade."

No NO NO NO!
Sorry but you are all wrong. The movies listed are poor to the point where they could be in a top 100 (or bottom as the case may be).
THE worst film ever has to be "THE TELEPHONE" starring Whoopie Goldberg. Not going into plot details but suffice to say ANYONE who has sat thru this film - to see the twist at the end- has bought a new telly after putting their boot thru the screen.
NOT SEEN IT????
SEEK IT OUT and ENJOY!!!!!!!

Starship Troopers 2.
Basically, this is the worst sequal to any film in the world! It starred none of the original cast, the CGI was worse than the first film despite the fact that it was made years later, it was low budget, the actors were crap and the plot was disgusting.
I think I've made my point.

The Village- Nothing what I thought I would be, not a hint scary, and just stupid. The only good part of it is that I met my fiance in the viewing of this movie (through mutual friends).
Hostel- Not scary, not gory, just an hour long porn.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare- Very disappointing, Wes is a brilliant guy, but this was just stupid. It ruined the whole series for me.
There are more but those are the ones that came to head first...

Statistically, Plan 9 From Outer Space.
It was Ed Wood's most glorious and hokey film, starring Vampira, Bela Lugosi, and Ed Wood's girlfriend's chiropractor. Bela Lugosi died halfway though (gifting the human race with the best death scene of all time: Bela walks off the screen and all we hear is a screech of tires and a scream) so Wood's girlfriend's chiropractor stood in for him by covering his face with a cape.
The film was also funded by a Baptist Church.

I remember all the hype about Dungeons and dragons and when I went to see it at the cinema I was so disappointed. there were hardly any dragons in it apart from the end and it was so crap.
There probably is a worse film but when I read your Q this was the first film that came into my head.

'One'. Truly, truly terrible. I believe there was a 'Two' and 'Three', but I am still regaining the will to live after the first one. I'm afriad the only way to know why this film is so bad is to watch it, but I really wouldn't recommend you do that. As a clue, it has no plot, no point, no decent characters, and it's Belgian.
