If they humiliate you for no good reason, it's probably because they're insecure themselves. Call them out on it. Be strong! Good luck!

Don't let what other people say to you bother you, friend. It never really matters anyway. Just think about how amazing life is and how fortunate you are to be alive! Why should some insecure bully's opinion bother you, when all it really is, is an opinion? I could care less about what the rest of the world thinks of me, as long as I am happy. Now, if someone is physically humiliating you, you need to find help!! Don't let anyone hurt you for real. There is always somone there to help, if you take the time to look. Shrug em off, don't let them matter to you.Why should they?

Depends on how they humiliate you. If they like to make fun of you in front of people, analyze their weak spots and make fun of them in front of a group. They will be so shocked as you walk away laughing that they can't do anything. Definitely try and make them a laughing stock in a group situation where others will join in and laugh at them----that always works. Being a woman in a male-dominated field, I've found doing this technique always knocks them down a few pegs.

I would squarely confront them by email, telephone, or letter writing. Writing is the technique that's worked best for me. Get all your feelings out on paper, sleep on it, and then revise it, asking for an apology. And if you don't get an apology, or they try to whitewash it (gloss it over as if it never happened), drop them as a friend. A few years ago a professional colleague of mine humiliated me, and I did just what I've told you. He couldn't handle being called upon to account for his behavior, and tried to sweep it under the rug. It was then I knew he held little respect for me, or himself. I left with my dignity intact, and have never looked back.

For me, I kinda just look at them as if they're some sort of weird creature. Give them the dirty looks for awhile and just walk away. It really depends on how they humiliate you. If they really get on my nerves, I'd walk up to them and give them a piece of my mind. But if they do it just for fun and just for laughs, I'd just laugh along. However, if it goes over the limit of your patience, I suggest you tell them to stop it or just ignore them. It's really no point wasting time with people who does not have anything else better to do with their lives. ;)

Good luck!!!
