Yahoo has the right because it provides the privilege for answers and questions which should not be abused.

Yahoo is in a difficult position because they set up this service so that people could ask questions that they may need help with, and there will be someone genuine on-line who can do this.
Also this can and is,a great source of information for people all over the world, and its amazing what people ask.
There are of course, some people on line who sometimes ask offensive questions against common decency, and this applies to answers, these people only come on to offend others and should not be allowed.
I do agree that if your question is removed you should be given a reason, however you should know yourself if a question is offensive or insulting.
Yahoo do let loads of borderline question on site, and, answers and in my opinion I would not say they were too strict, we should all try to get on.

All got when I was reported was my answer in an email by yahoo-- I dont think I was being out of order when I was being honest about something. I think they should give a reason, they give the person thats reporting it a reason why they think it should be reported but it doesn't show on the email.
Pretty silly really because then people will continue to give their opinions and others will continue to take offence.
We should all try an approach to yahoo about this don't you think?

Should all free speech forums be politically correct? Or should the censor be banished? on the whole I would prefer to send censors into exile. Political debate is stifled by political correctness. Fundamentalists and extremists (of right and left) are part of society its nice to know what both set are thinking if only to make jokes at their expense. And it's fun winding them up. so yes any removed answer should get information on why it was removed and reported by who. It would be entertaining to see on-line slanging matches. Sounds like a good web site to me.

Without censorship, you end up with something approaching democracy. What kind of mad world are you living in. Everything should be censored. The Thought Police are watching you...BEWARE! Before you know it, self opinionated people like you will be demanding elections, whatever next.

Because Yahoo is a private forum, with it's policies set by the Terms of Service. Terms you agreed to by using the system.

I don't understand why you want a reason !
If you reread your question you will find that it was OFFENCIVE
to somebody and has been flagged , Yahoo reacted , that is all!!

It would be difficult to explain why you deleted so many posts when there are about 10000000000000000000000000000 posts made daily (also, answers.yahoo only has about 10 moderators).
