yes unless ur stunt man who performs those stunts at films and later the hero takes on ...as shown in a fairness cream ad. Some stunt mans have done death defying stunts in real life...may be ur not aware of those..in bangalore and other places also. if u see night drags at bangalore on MG road will surely remind u of Fast and furious race drag

I think you can rule out high fantasy and/or sci-fi in this case. They're my favourite kind of movies (and novels), but it's not possible to relate to the special effects. I agree with you about the emotions, though.
But when it comes to things like ghosts and spirits (horror/supernatural movies), some people do believe in them.
I can relate the Hindi film Black to reality ... it's about a visually, hearing and speech impaired girl. No special effects or songs in that movie. Quite dark.
Of course, you can't relate to the meaningless melodrama in some overtly sentimental movies and serials.
