Sorry I'm white, I think black people can discriminate against white people but it's just a fact that white people do it a lot more than black people.

I'm white, but I want to answer.
Both races can discriminate. According to me everything depends on environment. If we're talking about USA then there are more white racists cuz there are more whites there.

No, I been called a "mayata" (which mean *** in Spanish) by my boyfriends mother because she didn't want me to be with him. It was so horrible. I went over her house for dinner and she acted as if I was a disease. My boyfriend defended me and had to argue with his mom. But she called him a "traitor". And kicked us both out of the house.

No. All people have the power and will to be racist and inclusive to only their race.

No, black on black racism is very alive and well. Just look at the crime statistics in the inner cities of America. And aside from black on black racism, a lot of black people feel that because of slavery and the Jim Crow Era, they can be bigoted and hateful toward white people without consequence.

It's a paradox. Enough about this as this question was more rhetorical than anything.

Now, to respond to your comment about my question asking if it was fair to call me a racist because of some of my views.....Again, you have falsified information. I never said ALL blacks did anything. I've studied logic in college and I'm very aware of that sort of fallicious argument. Whenever you say ALL about anything, it immediately destroys your argument.

Now, as for my email to you...I really think you need to lighten up. I was being humorous when I said "didn't the hood teach you anything." I was merely saying the cardinal rule of snitching, more prevalent in the hood than anywhere else. Not just the black hoods, the Italian hoods or any hood for that matter. I'm no stranger to the hood, anyway, so my statement couldn't have been racist. I'm very comfortable in the hood, actually, and can take care of myself there with no problem. However, when I go there with my family (white husband and biracial daughter), I get snubbed, which supports my theory on black on black racism.

Overall, I was offended by your original question concerning the whole CMT being white entertainment television. I know it may be hard for you to realize, because I really believe you think you know everything, but that statement is racist. It's a stereotype and being a black person, you should know better than to entertain those sorts of things.

Now, again, you and the other young lady called me pretty much a traitor to my race and I guess in your mind I could see how you would think that. You've got some issues regarding race that I don't, so anyone who doesn't think like you do is immediately a race traitor. The unfortunate thing is while you're calling me out, you're failing to look at yourself.

I thought about what I said yesterday and I think I might have come off a little strong by calling you a racist. Some things are better left unsaid. However, you choose to stoop to an unnecesarily low level by putting me on blast. That was totally unnecessary. If you can't consider other people's points of view, you shouldn't be on here.

Now, as a final statement, I wish to say that I know who I am and, while it may be different from your view of how a black person should be, it is who I am and i'm very comfortable in my skin. I listen to rock music and go to rock concerts. I was even in a rock band for a couple of years. I identify with things that you may not because that was what I was exposed to. My uncle is pretty much a reincarnated Jimi Hendrix so i've been around white people and rock music all my life. That is why I refuse to be racist because I know that people deserve the benefit of the doubt. I've been called a **** once, by a guy I once dated actually. I know he wasn't racist, at least not to the point that he would start saying racial slurs. After all, we all have preconceived notions about people, whether or not that's right. Anyhow, he said the one thing that he knew would piss me off entirely and it worked. After that, he pleaded for months for me to forgive him, buying me guitars and music equipment. But I couldn't look past that word. So, believe it or not, I still have many issues regarding these sorts of things but I believe that everyone is their own person and a lot of people are actually good people. The sad thing is - we sometimes can't get past the past to give some one a chance.

So, you may hate my guts and think that i'm a race traitor or whatever and I respect your opinion. However, I know who I am and I know I love my friends and family and my people. I won't make excuses for them because, although our identity is sometimes defined by our race, it is also defined by our own personal choices and racism is not the main reason people are still living in the hood, paycheck to paycheck, unable to get jobs, etc. A lot of that has to do with personal choices in life - the choice to go to college; the choice to stay with that deadbeat boyfriend; the choice to make quick money, and so on and so on.

I've already apologized to your for offending you, but as I said before, that doesn't change my views on this subject. I only ask that you respect my opinions on things and stop deducing me to a race traitor. I've saw the flaw in that theory and it's unfair.

Good day.

Everyone can be anything. It is human nature. If it wasn't skin color it would be something else.
