need more insight,pls don't know 2 much,need car for college and have a son,don't have money to take it in.it did boil for a minute,too!!

Dude it's a 3.1 Chevy engine. Major problems with intake manifold leaks (plastic gasket) and blown head gaskets.
I have two in the driveway each is doing something but not as bad as yours. The automotive repair websites are full of this problem. Check your oil for milky appearance. if the the water gets in the oil that's what it does. Once that happens the water destroys your bearings. Hopefully could be something like a water pump but I doubt it.
