How can para-red be used to dye cotton(without the use of mordants) and what are the interactions present?

Does anyone also know how to synthesize magneson II?I was only able to research the possible starting materials 1) 1-naphtol and benzene diammonium chloride 2) phenylhydrazine and 1,4-naphtoquinone

Para-red is Pigment Red 1, which is not the best for cotton since it would have to be fixed with some sort of fixing agent such as a polymer finish. There really are no "interactions" since the dye is just solid particles deposited on the surface.

This is the structure of the Magneson, but I think you will need to search the chemical literature in a library to find a synthesis.
